Preparations are underway for my upcoming show at Fruitlands Museum. “Homebound” will be in the Wayside Gallery, the lovely green house in pic #2. Below you’ll find my layout drawings and photos of the beautiful rustic interior, with prior exhibit “Recruiting for Utopia”.

Fruitlands Museum sits on 210 beautiful acres and was home to a Transcendalist community founded by the father of Louisa May Alcott. Later Clara Endicott Sears established a museum in the original Fruitlands Farmhouse. The property also includes the Native American Museum, the Art Museum, the Wayside Visitor Center, and the Shaker House (which was filmed in Greta Gerwig’s “Little Women”). This treasured place has been called “home” by many generations, which inspired the title of my exhibit.
... “Homebound: Fiber Paintings by Kara Patrowicz” is part of a new series of Wayside Gallery Community Shows at Fruitlands Museum, Harvard, MA. On view from April 28-August 22, 2021.
